Dana Fuchs combines raw intensity, passionate vocals, starkly honest lyrics, and a fiercely commanding stage presence. With strong roots in blues, gospel and rock, the NYC-based performer leaves audiences spellbound - and a string of sold out shows - in her wake.

MUSIC
March 25, 2008: Dana released her first live CD, “Dana Fuchs Live In NYC,” featuring a bluesy roots-rock set list of brand new songs and material culled from her critically-acclaimed debut independent CD “Lonely For A Lifetime.” An accompanying DVD, “Live From NYC” showcases Dana’s incredible talent as a performer to a sold out show at New York’s legendary BB Kings.
Her debut national tour kicked off in spectacular fashion with three consecutive sold out shows. Dana will be touring across the USA and Europe throughout 2008. Following personal invites, Dana has supported or played with some of rock’s most legendary artists,including Ray Davies (The Kinks), Dickey Betts (The Allman Brothers) and Bob Weir (Grateful Dead)

FILM & TELEVISION
Across The Universe: Dana mesmerizes as Sadie the aspiring rock star in the original movie musical set to Beatles hits. Her exceptional voice can be heard throughout the film performing iconic Beatles tunes from “Don’t Let Me Down,” to the film’s pivotal track, “Helter Skelter, ”Dana also performs five hits on the film’s top five Soundtrack. Released last year, ATU was nominated for an Academy Award and Oprah said, “ATU is more than a movie, more than a movie musical it's an experience! ”Dana appeared in the trailer for the 2008 hit film “Stop Loss”aperforming an coustic version of her critically acclaimed track “Almost Home.”She is known as MTV’s voice of “The 10 Spot”, one of only two vocal artists selected by MTV Networks to do its broadcast voice-overs.

STAGE
Dana’s reputation has a must-see performer led the producers of the Off-Broadway production “Love, Janis” to cast her in the lead singing role of Janis Joplin. The show was a smash hit, winning her even more fans including renowned director Julie Taymor (”Frida”) who cast her as a star in Across The Universe.
